Hotel Caring is an initiative led by the California Hotel & Lodging Association (CHLA) to showcase the positive social impact the industry has on our local communities.
The project will highlight the philanthropic activities carried out by hotels and lodging properties in California each year, beginning with the 2023 calendar year.
Analyzing data on philanthropic activities by hotels in San Diego, the following figures represent the annual contributions per hotel:
in the form of cash, in-kind, fundraising, scholarship, and food drive donations.
for various activities ranging from beach clean-ups to blood drives.

The Hotel Caring Initiative is a project led by the California Hotel and Lodging Association, in partnership with Oxford Economics.
